The Albert lives and breathes Liverpool. Located right next to the ‘The Kop’ stand at Anfield Stadium, it’s home to die-hard fans known as Kopites. You can feel Liverpool’s history here, with opponent teams’ scarves and shirts decorating the walls and ceilings. However, if you want a bite to eat before the game, we don’t recommend this Liverpool pub. People come here mainly to drink a pint and sing (compulsory) fan songs together!
Visitors to this Liverpool pub say:
“This atmosphere before a Liverpool game was absolutely EPIC. The live music, the chants and the singing were incredible, they hit you right in the heart. It gets you in the mood to cheer for the game straight away! What a great night to celebrate Liverpool. With scarves on the ceiling and pure joy in the air! I was there with my wife and all I can say is that the Liverpool fans are absolute gold. They cleared a space at the bar so my wife could order, what gentlemen. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, the best club fans in the world, YNWA”

Even the changing rooms were in this building for years. Today it’s a mixture of pub, disco, party venue and hostel. The Sandon also offers rooms for private rent, so if you’re travelling with a fan club, you can enjoy great Liverpool hospitality here.

Taggy’s is a great family-run pub near Anfield Stadium. The Norwegian owners warmly welcome you to a pub full of original and funny Liverpool FC elements. The bar shelves are seats from the old main stand and the bar itself is built around an original Kop barrier. There is also an old turnstile from the main stand and players’ jerseys hanging everywhere. The best part is you can watch the game on the big screen in the beer garden while your kids play football on the pub’s own small field!
